We can provide qualified candidates an introduction to third-party financing for your furniture, fixtures, equipment and signs, as well as leasehold improvements for new and existing Kaña Cuban Coffee stores, but we do not offer direct financing.
How will I find a good location?
Kaña Cuban Coffee has relationships with the best commercial tenant representative real estate companies throughout the country. You and the realtor will search for the best location within the specific area you have designated. Once you have identified a potential location we will provide you with demographics in the area and give you our opinion of the site. However you will make the final decision.
Do I purchase inventory from Kaña Cuban Coffee?
Yes. Kaña Cuban Coffee will designate and control anything sold under our brand name. We will provide you access to our proprietary blends and other product either directly or through a distributor. Kaña Cuban Coffee will also negotiate the availability and wholesale prices of other food products, such as pastries, sandwiches, teas and juices to be served at your Kaña Cuban Coffee location. Coffee accessories and other various related products for your store’s inventory will be purchased from Kaña’s approved vendors and manufacturers. Whenever possible, we use the combined purchasing strength of our chain to effect purchasing economies that will benefit your store and the entire operation.
Can I add products to my inventory?
You can add new products that are approved by Kaña Cuban Coffee corporate office. Kaña Cuban Coffee will review new coffee accessories and industry trends on a continuous basis. However, you can also submit new ideas for consideration. You must have approval from Kaña Cuban Coffee corporate office before placing any new items into inventory.
What is the term of the franchise agreement?
The initial term is ten years, after which the agreement may be renewed for additional ten-year terms. Renewal is primarily based on the franchisee being in total compliance under their current contract and is subject to our approval, current franchise terms and conditions, and renewal fees, which are less than the initial franchise fee.
What is the charge for ongoing royalty fees?
The royalty fee is six percent of your weekly gross sales, and is exclusive of any sales tax and documented refunds.
Do I receive training from Kaña Cuban Coffee?
Yes! Franchise operators must attend and successfully complete the training program provided by Kaña Cuban Coffee. The program includes classroom training, local in-store training and on-site support in your store at the time of your soft opening. The cost of training is included in your initial franchise fee (excluding travel and lodging expenses).
What continuing operational guidance will I receive?

What about advertising?
Franchise operators contribute 3% of their gross sales to a Kaña Cuban Coffee national advertising and promotion fund. You and your Area Developer will agree to a local marketing plan for your region.
Is it possible to secure a franchise agreement for more than one store?
Yes! Kaña Cuban Coffee offers multi-unit operations as long as you meet our financial, operational and management qualifications.
Can I sell my Kaña Cuban Coffee franchise?
Yes. Like any other business, you can sell your store to a buyer approved by Kaña Cuban Coffee corporate office. There is a transfer fee for administrative, legal and training expenses to affect the transfer.
How much can I expect to earn?
Your earnings capability will depend on a number of factors, such as your location, the amount of time you spend in your store, your business and retail acumen, as well as market conditions. Naturally, as in any business venture, there is no guarantee of your success or profitability. We do, however, give you the benefit of a well-organized system and a concept refined by our many years of business experience.
